1 cup softened butter (2 sticks of butter.) 2 cups sugar 2 eggs 2 cups buttermilk 4 cups all purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking soda
Cinnamon mixture:
2/3 cups sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Cream the butter, sugar and eggs. Add the milk, flour and baking soda. Pour about 1/4 of batter into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
Sprinkle 3/4 of the cinnamon mixture over the loaves. Add the remaining batter equally to the pans. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon and sugar mixture over the batters and swirl with a knife. Bake at 350 degrees 45-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 20 minutes before removing from pans.
This is delicious and I like to warm a slice up in the microwave and top it with butter. Great for breakfast!

This sounds extremely yummy. I have saved the recipe. Skyfire I have to say this is probably the best recipe I have used thus far. It has such a good flavor and it is hard to stop at eating just one piece. What I do since there are just the two of us and it makes 2 loaves, you can either freeze the loaf as a whole, or you can slice it up and freeze each piece individually, which is what I do. Hope you enjoy it as much as Ron & I do. @bob This is such a easy recipe and only takes a couple minutes to stir up. That is why I like it so much as I am all about easy when it comes to baking. And I also love the fact that it makes 2 loaves as in this house we are bread lovers, especially this kind.
