This recipe Laurie did NOT come up with but got from a cooking article in our paper. I just call it Laurie's marinade. We've been using it for quite a while and we're never disappointed. Prep: 15 minutes Marinade 2 hours or moreCook: 20 minutes Rest: 10 minutesMakes: 4 to 6 servings1/4 cup of Hoisin Sauce 1 tablespoon honey 1 teaspoon ground cayenne 2 cloves garlic, minced 2 tablespoons bourbon.....or more 1 flank steak, 1 1/2 to 2 pounds Whisk together the hoisin sauce, honey, cayenne, garlic and bourbon in a small bowl. Place the flank steak in a glass baking dish large enough to hold it flat or in a large resealable freezer bag. Add the marinade , turn the steak over several times to coat it. Cover if using a glass dish, marinade it for at least 2 hours. Heat gas or charcoal grill for direct cooking. Cook the steak 10-15 minutes per side depending on thickness. (When you poke the thickest part of the steak with your finger, it should feel like its beginning to get firm) Remove from the grill, let stand 10 minutes. Slice diagonally across the grain Salt to taste. Note, we like it pink in the center and you don't want to over cook flank steak as it toughens up. Enjoy!

Thanks for the recipe Bob and will use it in the near future. We like our meat pink also, so will be sure not to over cook.
