The one that caught my eye was the Smoked Herring better know as "Blind Robbins" in my time! One would buy them in the bars way back when (with Dad or Uncles) (very small packs) and MAN! salted they where.... However, the older folks had them with plenty of BEER! Below is a link to what they looked like: Smoked HerringNow to Wholey's Fish Market Site, but first: From the Authors: Welcome to the Wholey Fish Market. We are proud to say we have been selling fresh fish, seafood, meat and poultry since 1912. A great deal of hard work and dedication from family and associates continues our commitment to selling excellent seafood and meats. My father Robert C. Wholey would say " every single piece of fish that leaves this store contains our business reputation." The efforts of my mother and father have lasted over 50 years to build a wonderful business that provides to this day great seafood as well as a resource to the community of Pittsburgh. We at Wholey's continue their tradition and work every day to provide the best fish, seafood, meat and poultry in Western Pennsylvania. Kind Regards Dan Wholey. Wholey's Fish Market
