Been having a think about the way to go about things and have decided to add some balsa to the hull as it will provide a larger area in which to glue the first layer of hull planks on to.

Thing will happen with this ship soon, I am just taking things slowly so I don't get burnt out again with model building.

Work has restarted with several pieces of balsa being glued between the frames. The reason for doing this is to make it easier to glue the hull planking on when I get to that stage.
The hull planking will be interesting as they have supplied grass, (bamboo) for the planking, instead of wood.

That is the one I am building, but out here in Australia I was able to collect an issue a week at the newsagent, so the cost was spread over a long time and much more managable.

I have all but the final issue, which I am hoping won't take too long to arrive. Luckily I don't actually need it right now.

Gone back to working on a much older model ship, the HMB Endeavour from Australia. Thought it about time to get some of these older projects finished off.

Going to get some more balsa next week, so things will progress a bit more hopefully.

Could have sworn that I had this bookmarked but guess not. I know this has been some time from the last input of August 2018 SkyFire and if I may ask, is there any updates on the HMB Endeavour from Australia build?
